    Liquid softergent compositions having improved softening and stability properties comprising an anionic optical brightener, a higher alkyl dimethyl 2-ethyl hexyl quaternary ammonium compound, a nonionic surfactant and preferably an anionic surfactant in a 1:1 molar ratio with the cationic quaternary compound in an aqueous vehicle; and a method of simultaneously cleaning and softening fabrics without reducing brightener and detergency performance, which comprises treating fabrics with said composition in the wash cycle of the laundering operation.

    A liquid detergent composition which comprises: (A) at least one N-acylated acidic amino acid represented by general formula (I) or a salt thereof; wherein R₁ represents an alkyl group or an alkenyl group having 7 to 21 carbon atoms; M₁ and M₂ each represents hydrogen, an alkali metal or an alkanolammonium ion; and m represents an integer of 1 or 2, and (B) at least one aliphatic sulfonic acid selected from compounds represented by general formula (II) or (III) or salts thereof; R₂-CH=CH(CH₂)nSO₃M₃      (II) R₂--(CH₂)nCH₂SO₃M₃      (III) wherein R₂ represents an alkyl group having 7 to 15 carbon atoms; n represents 0 or an integer of 1 to 5; and M₃ represents hydrogen, an alkali metal or an alkanolammonium ion; wherein the ratio (A)/(B) of component (A) to component (B) is 3/7 to 7/3 by weight and the total concentration of component (A) and component (B) in the composition is in a range of 4 to 30 wt%.

    The present invention relates to obtaining and using foaming compositions with wettability-modifying and corrosion inhibitory properties that control the channeling of fluids in naturally fractured carbonate reservoirs, favorably alter the rock wettability in crude oil enhanced recovery processes and control uniform corrosion problems occurring in production rigs under high temperature and ultra-high salinity conditions; by means of the synergistic effect resulting from the supramolecular interaction of alkyl amido propyl hydroxysultaines or alkyl hydroxysultaines with sodium alkyl hydroxysulfonates and sodium alkenyl sulfonates (1). The foaming compositions with wettability-modifying and corrosion inhibitory properties are characterized for being tolerant to high concentrations of divalent ions such as calcium, magnesium, strontium and barium and for the fact that for their application in the reservoir, seawater and/or congenital water characteristic of the reservoir may be used as means of transportation.

    The present invention refers to the formulation of a foaming agent for extreme conditions of salinity, temperature and concentration of divalent ions, including the improvement in the performance in these conditions with respect to the patent MX2008015989 A. Also, the design is presented of the experimental equipment used to characterize and evaluate foaming agents at laboratory level and conditions of pressure, temperature and salinity, in oil fields. The formulation of the foaming agent derived from this invention is a mixture of sodium alpha olefin sulfonates, alkylamido propyl betaines and triethanolamine, capable of giving it the benefit of being stable in temperature and salinity in a wide range, diluted in synthetic and congenital brines. This formulation is applicable for the control of gas mobility and improved oil recovery processes in naturally fractured reservoirs.

    A method for manufacturing a molded detergent composition is provided. The method includes a step of mixing a hydrated component and a hydratable component to provide a mixture, and molding the mixture to provide a molded detergent composition having a melting point greater than about 30° C. The hydrated component has a melting point below about 100° C. and includes a transhydration product of anhydrous material and water of hydration. The hydrated component is provided in a solid state during the step of mixing. The anhydrous material has a melting point greater than about 300° C. The hydratable component includes water, if present at all, at a level of less than about 2 wt. % based on the weight of the hydratable component. A molded detergent composition and a method for using the molded detergent composition are provided.
