  6β-ethenyl-1β-methyl-bicyclo [3.1.0] hexane-2-one was examined at a wide range of temperatures and with diverse catalytic surfaces. Conditions are reported to effect selectivity between the retro-ene and the cyclopentene modes of rearrangement. The synthetic scope of these transformations is indicated.
