The cleavage of the title compounds () in methanolic potassium hydroxide gives mixtures of olefins and α-methoxyolefins in good yields. The ratio of the products is dependent on the size of the carbocydic ring. The mechanism proposed involves cleavage of to the corresponding allylic chloride (). Nucleophilic solvent has been added regiospecifically in an anti-Markovnikov manner to a simple non-conjugated olefin, 1-methylcyclohexene, through single electron transfer induced photochemistry using the 1-cyanonaphthalene - biphenyl pair for achieving photooxidation.
Aminocyclohexyl ether compounds are disclosed. The compounds of the present invention may be incorporated in compositions and kits. The present invention also discloses uses for the compounds and compositions, including the treatment of arrhythmia.
