This work describes the photo-induced self-assembly of binary nanoparticles capped with a layer of complementary copolymer ligands into well-defined colloidal molecules. By varying the irradiation duration and the order of mixing and irradiating, the assembly process yields clustered ABx and linear (AB)y structures (x is the coordination number of NP-Bs, and y is the repeating unit number of AB clusters
