Abstract Thin films of lead titanate were fabricated by chemically modified sol-gel processing. The complex alkoxides were prepared by reacting lead acetate with titanium tri-isopropoxide monoacetylacetonate. Titanium tri-isopropoxide mono-acetylacetonate was synthesized by addition of acetylacetone to titanium tetraisopropoxide as a chelating agent. Processing parameters were systematically investigated
