    A polynnerizable composition including a late transition metal complex, a non-polar olefin, a polar olefin, and a free radical scavenger, wherein the polymerizable composition is capable of forming a linear poly[(non-polar olefin)-(polar olefin)] substantially free of free radical addition polymer, is disclosed. A method of copolymerizing a non-polar olefin with a polar olefin, catalyzed by a late transition metal complex in the presence of a free radical scavenger, to produce a linear poly[(non-polar olefin)-(polar olefin)] substantially free of free radical addition polymer is also disclosed.

A method of using plural linear mixed polarity polymer particles which include a catalytic component to catalyze polymerization is further disclosed. A porous polymer composition including plural linear non-polar polymer particles and a catalytic component is further disclosed, along with a method of making those linear non-polar polymer particles including the catalytic component and a method of using them to catalyze polymerization.
