    The enzymatic reaction of copalyl diphosphate (CDP), ent-CDP, syn-CDP, and tuberculosinyl diphosphate with the CYC2 enzyme from Kitasatospora griseola afforded sclarene, biformene, and novel diterpenes having a buta-1,3-diene moiety in the side chain.
