Abstract The neo -clerodane diterpenes montanin C, teucrin P 1 and teupolin III have been subjected to a series of chemical transformations to give α, β-unsaturated 15,16- and 16,15-γ-lactones, 13,14,15,16-tetranor- neo -clerodanes, chlorohydrins, vinyl chlorides, and amine, 1-pyrroline and 2-pyridazoline derivatives.
