  对lactivicin（1a）的环丝氨酸部分上的4-乙酰氨基进行了化学修饰。具有杂环酰基氨基的lactivicin衍生物（1d，kp和w）通常在β-内酰胺类抗生素中使用，具有很强的抗菌活性。还制备了lactivicin衍生物的酯前药（7a-d），以提高口服给药的生物利用度。发现新戊酰氧基甲基（POM）酯（7a和7b）和1-乙氧基羰基氧基乙基（EOE）酯（7c）与它们的母体化合物1c和1k相比在体内的保护作用略有改善。
