An efficient and rapid synthetic strategy for the naturally occurring polysubstituted tetrahydroquinoline scaffold through an environmentally friendly iodine‐induced reaction of propargyl alcohols and aromatic amines is described. The reaction conditions and the scope of the process are examined, and a possible mechanism is proposed (see scheme).
