A silacyclobutane having a five‐membered cycliccarbonatestructure (SBMC) was prepared, and its transition metal‐catalyzed ring‐opening polymerization at the four‐membered carbosilane unit was investigated as well as formation of carbosilane networked polymers and polymergelelectrolytes.
