    A liquid trifunctional epoxy compound with a total chlorine content of 100 ppm or less represented by general formula (1) is obtained by epoxidizing a triallyl ether represented by general formula (2) with a peroxide and the liquid epoxy compound is useful as a diluent in a variety of applications, particularly useful as a liquid encapsulating material in electronic applications: R[—(OCH 2 CH 2 ) n —OG] 3 (1) R[—(OCH 2 CH 2 ) n —O—CH 2 —CH═CH 2 ] 3 (2) (wherein R is a trivalent hydrocarbon group in which 3 different carbon atoms participate in bond formation or, more particularly, a straight-chain or branched hydrocarbon group containing 3-10 carbon atoms, a cycloalkane group containing 6 carbon atoms or a hydrocarbon group containing 7-20 carbon atoms and consisting of hydrocarbon chains and cycloalkane rings, n is 0, 1, or 2 and G is glycidyl group).

    It is an object of the present invention to provide a polyolefin resin dispersion composition in which the dispersed resin is stable to water or a hydrophilic substance, and which has an adhesive property to nonpolar substrates, in particular poorly adhesive polyolefin-based substrates whose surface has not been treated, is excellent in a coating property, exhibits an excellent adhesive property through drying and press bonding with heat at a temperature in a wide range regardless of whether the temperature is low or high, is excellent in water resistance and gasohol resistance and is less tacky. That is, the present invention provides the dispersed resin composition containing (a) a polyolefin resin, (b) a (meth)acrylic acid homopolymer or copolymer having a side chain comprising an esterified alkyl group, (c) a basic substance and (d) water or a hydrophilic substance, and a process for producing the same.

    The present invention relates to a photosensitive composition containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of N-acyl amino acid derivatives, hydroxycarboxylic acids and their derivatives, condensates of an aliphatic or aromatic aldehyde with a polyhydric alcohol, acylated polysaccharides and metallic soaps. From the photosensitive composition of the present invention, moldings having excellent shape retentivity and/or compatibility of the components thereof with one another can be produced. Therefore, the production of moldings from a composition which has been heretofore impossible is made possible. Particularly a composition having a good moldability during the molding operation can be employed. The composition is useful for the preparation of printing plate materials having a good developability and printing plates, particularly flexible printing plates and flexographic printing plates, having an improved ink solvent resistance.

    A photochromic composition comprises (A) 100 parts by weight of a compound having at least one epoxy group in the molecule and (B) 0.0001 to 10,000 parts by weight of a photochromic compound. The compound (A) is of formula wherein A is a residue of an n-valent alcoholic hydroxyl-containing compound, a residue of an n-valent phenolic-hydroxyl-containing compound, or a residue of an n-valent carboxylic acid, R1 is hydrogen or methyl and n is an integer of 1 to 4. The photochromic compounds (B) include fulgide compounds, spirooxazine compounds and chromene compounds. A polymer obtained by polymerizing the above photochromic composition of the invention by a radical polymerization method has a good durability of photochromic properties, and also possesses a dark color-forming density, a fast color fading speed, is transparent, and has a high surface hardness. Thus, especially, the polymer is suitable for use as a photochromic lens.
