2-(3-acylphenyl)amino-4-phenylthiazoles were synthesized from 1-(3-acetylphenyl)thiourea and 2-bromo-1-substituted phenylethanones in presence of triethylamine upon heating. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, H-1 NMR, MS spectrometry. All products were evaluated for their antibacterial activity against Gram positive (Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis) and Gram negative (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pnemoniae) strains.
