It was demonstrated that the new fluorinated chemosensors exhibited significantly shorter response times to cyanide detection compared with corresponding analogues bearing nitro groups. Structures of the newly synthesised compounds were assigned using standard 1H, 13C, 15N and 19F NMR spectroscopy techniques.
