The present invention provides compounds, pharmaceutically acceptable compositions thereof, and methods of using the same. It has now been found that compounds of this invention, and pharmaceutically acceptable compositions thereof, are effective as inhibitors of one or more protein kinases. Such compounds have general formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein Ring A, Ring B, W, Ry, R3 and R4 are as defined herein.

2,4-Amino, guanidinopyrimidines have diuretic activity. A representative species of these compounds is 2-guanidino-4- ' amino-6-chloroguanidine which is prepared by the stepwise replacement of first the 2-halo of a 2,4,6-trihalopyrimidine by guanidino and then the 4-halo by ammonia.

The fluorinations of tetrachloropyrimidine, 2,4,6-trichloropyrimidine and trichloro-s-triazine were carried out in sealed tubes with KF in presence of inert gas and then compared.
