A production method of a polymer compound containing a constitutional unit represented by the formula (1), a constitutional unit represented by the formula (2) and a structure represented by the formula (3), comprising a first step of reacting a compound represented by the formula (M-1) and a compound represented by the formula (M-2), in the presence of a solvent, a base and a first palladium compound, to obtain a reaction product and a second step of reacting the above-described reaction product and a compound represented by the formula (M-3), in the presence of a second palladium compound different from the first palladium compound, to obtain a polymer compound:
