The present invention provides an ink for use in inkjet printing which can be cured by irradiation of radiant ray, characterized in that said ink for use in inkjet printing contains at least a colorant, a polymerizable compound and a photopolymerization initiator, further comprising a compound capable of forming a complex with a metal, as well as a method for making a lithographic printing plate that doesn't need a development process using said ink, and such plate can solve the foregoing problem. The ink of the present invention for use in inkjet printing has an excellent adhesion between the ink cured by irradiation of radiant ray and a printing medium, as well as a lithographic printing plate using it and a method for making such plate.
The image forming method of the present invention includes first formation of an image, the formation including attaching a white ink containing an actinic radiation polymerizable compound and a white pigment through an inkjet head to a surface of a recording medium, first light exposure including the white ink attached to the surface of the recording medium with actinic radiation to cure or temporarily cure the white ink, second formation of an image, the formation including attaching an ink containing an actinic radiation polymerizable compound and a gelling agent through an inkjet head to a surface of a white cured film obtained by curing of the white ink, and second light exposure including irradiating the actinic radiation curable ink attached to the surface of the white cured film with actinic radiation to cure the ink other than the white ink.
An ink-jet image forming method comprising: jetting ultraviolet ray-curable ink from an ink-jet head onto a recording substrate while conveying the recording substrate; and exposing the jetted ink on the recording substrate to ultraviolet rays irradiated by an ultraviolet ray-emitting light source, wherein in the exposing step, a surface temperature of the ultraviolet ray-emitting light source is not more that 60° C.
