The present invention relates to a fragrance composition comprising ionic liquids for delayed evaporation of the perfume raw materials. The invention also relates to methods of use of the fragrance compositions for perfuming suitable substrates, particularly skin and hair.
Alpha-tertiary nitriles, a process for making the same, and fragrant substances containing the same, in which the nitriles having the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl radical with 1-3 carbon atoms, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 stand for hydrogen and an alkyl radical with 1-3 carbon atoms, and R.sub.4 is an allyl or benzyl radical.
A fragrance preparation containing 3,7-dimethyloct-6-enenitrile and other compounds described herein is a geranonitrile substitute which has the advantages inherent to geranonitrile, such as fragrance freshness and composition stability but is less objectionable from a toxicological standpoint.
Fragrant consumer products comprising oxidizing agents are described, which may be, for example, detergents or cleaners or, for example, also cosmetics. These consumer products comprise certain minimum amounts of fragrances of certain classes of substances. They are characterized by very good (storage) stability, both with regard to the fragrance of the product, and also with regard to the potency of the oxidizing agent.
There is provided a laundry and cleaning composition comprising a bleaching system and a selected perfume composition, wherein the perfume composition comprises perfume ingredients selected from the classes of unsaturated perfume ingredients of ester, ether, alcohol, aldehyde, ketone, nitrile, lactone, schiff-bases, terpenes and derivatives thereof, cyclic alkene, cyclic oxide, oxime, and mixtures thereof. Also provided herein is the perfume composition, wherein the amount of unsaturated materials represents at least 40% by weight of the perfume composition.
