  L‐Proline efficiently catalyzed the multi‐component Hantzsch reaction in EtOH at 60°C under ultrasound irradiation to afford the corresponding 1,4‐dihydropyridine and polyhydroquinoline derivatives in high yields. This method offers the advantages of neutral and mild reaction conditions, high to excellent yields of the products and simple workup.
