The synthesis by the all-repetitive-excess-mixed-anhydride (REMA) method is described for two analogues of leucine-enkephalin, viz. [L-m-Tyr1]- and [D-m-Tyr1]-leucine-enkephalin, making use of enzymatically resolved (m-hydroxyphenyl)alanine (m-tyrosine).
