    A toner for developing electrostatic images is produced through a process including the steps of: pre-mixing binder resin particles carrying or containing inorganic fine powder to prepare a premix; melt-kneading the premix to obtain a kneaded product; cooling the kneaded product to obtain a colored resinous solid; pulverizing the colored resinous solid to obtain a pulverized product; and classifying the pulverized product to obtain toner particles. The inclusion of the resin particles carrying or containing inorganic fine powder improves the performance of the pre-mixing to provide an improved dispersion of toner materials within the product toner particles. A fine powder fraction from the classifying step can also be recycled to the premixing step. The resin particles can be toner particles per se. The inorganic fine powder may preferably be silica fine powder treated with silicone oil.

    A toner for developing electrostatic images contains toner particles containing at least a binder resin and a colorant as well as a fine powder comprised of base particles on which crystalline low resistance tin oxide films are formed. The crystalline low resistance tin oxide contains less than 100 ppm of antimony, arsenic and phosphorus, and has an oxygen deficiency structure. The toner is excellent in strength and can consistently give high quality images under any environmental conditions.

    The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engine, which especially exhibits excellent high-temperature detergency and ensures effective functioning of the metallic detergent contained therein even under a condition where moisture is mixed and accumulated therein; in particular, the present invention provides a lubricating oil composition which is suitably used for internal combustion engine of a hybrid vehicle. The lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engine, which includes: (A1) a lubricant base oil as a main component characterized by kinematic viscosity at 100 degree C being 1 to 8 mm2/s, pour point being -15 degree C or less, aniline point being 100 degree C or more, paraffinic content in saturates being 40 mass % or more, monocyclic naphthenic content being 25 mass % or less, bicyclic to hexacyclic naphthenic content being 35 mass % or less, iodine number being 2 or less, and ratio of tertiary carbon to the total carbon atoms composing the (A1) being 6.3% or more; and which further comprises, to the total mass of the composition: (B) 0.005 to 0.5 mass % of a metallic detergent as metal content; (C1) 0.005 to 0.2 mass % of a boron-containing succinimide ashless dispersant as boron content; and (D) 0.005 to 0.2 mass % of a metal salt of phosphorus-containing acid as phosphorus content.

    A lubricating oil composition containing a lubricating base oil and on the basis of the total mass of the composition, (A) a boron-containing ashless dispersant in an amount of 100 to 500 ppm by mass as boron, (B) a phosphorous additive in an amount of 300 to 800 ppm by mass as phosphorus, (C) an amide- and/or imide-based friction modifier in an amount of 1 to 4 percent by mass, and (D) an alkali metal- and/or alkaline earth metal-based detergent in an amount of 100 to 300 ppm by mass as metal, and having a 40° C. kinematic viscosity of 30 mm2/s or lower is provided. The lubricating oil composition, which has a low viscosity to improve fuel efficiency, also has superior anti-wear, anti-seizure, and anti-shattering properties, even when the composition is degraded by oxidation or by the elution of compounds from sealing materials after long term use.
