  Three new ionone glucosides, rehmaionosides A (1__∼), B (2__∼), and C (3__∼), and a new monoterpene glucoside rehmapicroside (4__∼), were isolated from Chinese Rehmanniae Radix, the dried root of Rehmannia glutinosa L(ibosch)___=.[kan-jio (in Japanese) from China]. Their absolute configurations were determined on the basis of chemical and physicochemical evidence which included the application of the exciton chirality method for allylic benzoyl derivatives.
