    摘要:
    The present invention discloses Atovaquone prodrugs, process for the preparation of said prodrugs and pharmaceutical compositions comprising Atovaquone prodrugs. Atovaquone prodrugs of the present invention can be used alone, or co-administered orally or parenterally as fixed dose or as separate dosage form in combinations with other anti-parasitic drugs for both prophylaxis and treatment of ecto and endo-parasitic infections in humans. The pharmaceutical compositions offer high drug loading due to higher solubility compared to Atovaquone and provides sustained depot effect, thus providing therapeutically effective concentration of active drug for longer duration.

    enamines followed by ring cleavage yielded keto-enoic acids. The latter on Huang-Minlon reduction gave the enoic acids which on oxidation furnished the dioic acids. Ozonization of the enoic acids followed by sodium borohydride reduction of the ozonide yielded ω-hydroxy acids. The C16 and C15 dioic and ω-hydroxy acids, suitable for conversion to macrocyclic ketones and lactones, were thus prepared.

    The application discloses thiol ester molecules and α-hydroxy thiol ester molecules having a thiol group located on one of the final two carbon atoms in a carbon chain or a terminal or α-hydroxyl groups, respectively. The disclosed thiol ester molecules and or α-hydroxyl thiol ester molecules es may be made from unsaturated ester molecules having one or more terminal alkene groups. The disclosed techniques also provide methods for making unsaturated ester molecules having one or more terminal alkene groups by the metathesis of unsaturated esters having one or more internal carbon-carbon double bonds (e.g. natural source oils). The thiol ester molecules or α-hydroxy thiol ester molecule may be used in reactions with isocyanate monomers, epoxide monomer, or material having multiple alkene groups to make sealants, coatings, adhesives, and other products.

    A process for producing a polar olefin copolymer comprises copolymerizing a non-polar olefin and a polar olefin in the presence of a transition metal compound selected from Groups 4, 5, 6 and 11 of the periodic table, which is represented by the following formula (IV): wherein M' is a transition metal atom selected from Groups 4, 5, 6 and 11 of the periodic table, m is an integer of 1 to 6, A is -O-, -Si-, -Se-, -N(R6)-, n is a number satisfying a valence of M', R1 to R4 and R6 are each a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydrocarbon group and the like, and X is a halogen atom, an oxygen atom, a hydrocarbon group and the like, and at least one compound (B) selected from the group consisting of an organometallic compound (B-1), an organoaluminum oxy-compound (B-2) and an ionic ionizing compound (B-3). Therefore, the process is capable of obtaining a polar olefin copolymer having excellent properties under mild polymerization conditions.
