    A series of new glass-forming hydrazones containing bicarbazolyl units were synthesized starting from 9-(2-(9H-carbazol-9-yl)-cyclobutyl)-9H-carbazole and 9-(6-(9H-carbazol-9-yl)-hexyl)-9H-carbazole, and their thermal properties were studied. The correlation between their inclination to form glasses and their chemical structures are discussed. The results of a preliminary investigation of the photoelectric properties of amorphous films of the title compounds are briefly reported. The highest hole drift mobility was observed for 9-(2-(9H-carbazol-9-yl)-cyclobutyl)-9H-carbazole-3-carbaldehyde N,N-diphenylhydrazone; at high electric fields, it approaches 1 . 10(-3) cm(2)/VS.

    Disclosed are electrically conductive polymer compositions, and their use in organic electronic devices. The electrically conductive polymer compositions include an intrinsically electrically conductive polymer having Formula II: In Formula II: Q is the same or different at each occurrence and is S, P, Se, Te, O, P═O, or NR o ; R o is the same or different at each occurrence and is H, D, alkyl, deuterated alkyl, aryl, or deuterated aryl; R, R′, and R″ are the same or different at each occurrence and are H, D, alkyl, alkoxy, ether, polyether, fluoroalkyl, aryl, aryloxy, heteroaryl, silyl, siloxane, siloxy, germyl, deuterated alkyl, deuterated partially-fluorinated alkyl, deuterated alkoxy, deuterated ether, deuterated polyether, deuterated aryl, deuterated heteroaryl, deuterated silyl, deuterated siloxane, deuterated siloxy, and deuterated germyl; wherein two R′ groups can together represent a single bond which forms a fused ring; with the proviso that any non-H/D group may be terminated by a functional group selected from the group consisting of hydroxyl, alcohol, alkoxy, ether, amine, amide, ester, carboxylic acid, sulfonic acid, phosphate, or deuterated analogs thereof; m is an integer from 1 - 5; n is an integer from 1 - 5; and o is an integer from 2 - 2000. The electrically conducting polymer is doped with a non-fluorinated acid polymer.

    The present invention provides novel ketopyrroles having structure XXIV wherein R 2 is independently at each occurrence a deuterium atom, a halogen, a nitro group, an amino group, a C 3 -C 40 aromatic radical, a C 1 -C 50 aliphatic radical, or a C 3 -C 40 cyclcoaliphatic radical; “a” is an integer from 0 to 3; and X 1 and X 2 are independently at each occurrence a bromine atom, a hydroxy group, or the group OR 10 , and wherein the group R 10 is independently at each occurrence a deuterium atom, a halogen, a nitro group, an amino group, a C 3 -C 40 aromatic radical, a C 1 -C 50 aliphatic radical, or a C 3 -C 40 cyclcoaliphatic radical. Ketopyrroles XXIV are useful ligands for the preparation of Type (1) and Type (2) organic iridium compositions. In one aspect, the present invention provides deuterated analogs of XXIV. Organic iridium compositions are useful in the preparation optoelectronic devices, such as OLED devices and photovoltaic devices exhibiting enhanced performance characteristics.
