Several new tetraorganylborate salts have been synthesized by the addition of alkyl or phenyllithium reagents to a triorganylborane or organoboranylhalides. The chemical structure of the borates was confirmed by 1H, 13C NMR and IR spectroscopic measurements and elemental analysis.
