A series of pentafluorophenylgermanium hydrides, (C6F5)4–n GeHn (n = 2,3), (C6F5)2 Ge(Br)H and (C6F5)2 Ge(H)(C6F5)2 was prepared by reduction of the corresponding germanium bromides with lithium aluminium hydride and/or triethylgermane.
