A variety of substituted diarylsulfones could be synthesized by simple arenes and 3CdSO(4)center dot xH(2)O in the presence of P2O5 under high-speed ball milling. It is an object of the present invention to provide fluorinated bis(phthalic anhydride) which has less coloration and higher solubility in comparison with conventional compounds, and a method for producing the same. Further, it is also an object of the present invention to provide a method for producing a fluorinated bis(phthalonitrile) compound, which is an intermediate raw material compound of the method for producing the fluorinated bis(phthalic anhydride), and a polyamic acid and a polyimide, which are produced from the fluorinated bis(phthalic anhydride). The invention aims to provide a method by which a solution of polyimide can be easily obtained. Further, the invention aims to provide a fluorinated polyimide solution by which fluorinated polyimide excellent especially as an optical material and an electronic functional material can easily be produced. The production method of the soluble polyimide solution according to invention is characterized by mixing a mixture containing a polyamide acid, a cyclodehydration reagent, and a solvent by a rotation-revolution mixing method. Further, the fluorinated polyimide solution of the invention is a solution of polyimide defined by the following formula (II):
