2'- or 3'-O-(4-Methoxybenzyl)nucleoside derivatives were synthesized by treatment of uridine, N4-benzoylcytidine, N6-benzoyladenosine, and N2-benzoylguanosine with 4-methoxy-phenyldiazomethane.
