Synthesis, structure and properties of four new coordination polymers based on 2-(4-Chloro-phenoxy)-N-pyridin-3-ylacetamide

A series of coordination polymers, namely, [Zn(L)(HIP)H2O)] (1), [Cd(L)(HIP)]center dot 1/2H(2)O (2), [Co-1.5(L)(BTC) (CH3OH)(H2O)(3)]center dot 2H(2)O (3), (Ni-1.5(L)(BTC)(H2O)(4)]center dot 3H(2)O (4), where L = 2-(4-Chloro-phenoxy)-N-pyridin-3-ylacetamide, H2HIP = 5-hydroxyisophthalic acid, H3BTC = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid, have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the complexes 1, 3 and 4 display 1D chain structure. In complex 2, each Cd-2 unit is linked into BTC form two dimensional layer structures, which are further connected by mu(2)-L ligand to construct 3D architecture with (4(24); 6(4)}-bcu topology. Moreover, their powder X-ray diffraction analysis, thermostability and luminescence properties are explored. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
