Synthesis and properties of 5-nitro-2-[2-(3-nitro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)ethyl]-2H-tetrazole

Alkylation of 5-nitrotetrazole sodium salt tetrahydrate with 1-(2-bromoethyl)-3-nitro-1 H-1,2,4-triazole in DMF resulted in a new energetic compound, 5-nitro-2-[2-(3-nitro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)ethyl]-2H-tetrazole.
