compound of the formula $[Pb(L- C_4H_4O_5)]}$ (2) both with chiral structures, have been prepared strarting with L- malic acid, and characterized by X-ray crystallography and other techniques. An achiral three-dimensional hybrid compound of the composition $[Pb(D,L- C_4H_4O_5)·2H_2O]}$ (3) has been obtained starting with D, L- malic acid. A chiral coordination polymer of $Cu^11}$ with the formula $[
