The Synthesis of a New Class of Potential Inhibitors for Glycoside Hydrolases†
摘要:
Some attempts toward the synthesis of novel inhibitors of glycosyl transferases are described. More successfully, the synthesis of an activated cyclopropacyclohexene and an amide and an amine of a cyclopropa-fused pyranose are described. None of these three novel compounds proved to be a significant inhibitor of a retaining a-glucosidase from barley.

The invention relates to the resolution of racemic mixtures, and in particular to the separation of enantiomers of chiral alcohols utilising recyclable chiral auxiliaries. The present invention also relates to a process for preparing these recyclable chiral auxiliaries using an enantiomerically pure alcohol.
The oxygen atom exchange reactionbetween the terminal oxygen atom (V=O) of tetradentate Schiff base-oxovanadium(IV) complexes and water slowly proceeds in DMSO solutions. The rate constants kobs for the isotopic oxygen atom exchange reaction in DMSO solutions containing excess H218O at 50 °C under an argon atmosphere were obtained for several complexes (6×10-7 to 6×10-5 s-1). The reaction proceeds

Abstract The sulfoxidation of twelve phenylmercaptoacetic acids (PMAA) by H2O2 catalyzed by three oxovanadium(IV)-salen complexes, having varied substituents on PMAA and salen with regard to their position, size and inductive effect, has been performed spectrophotometrically in 100% acetonitrile medium. Three nitrogen bases (NB), pyridine (Py), imidazole (ImH) and 1-methylimidazole (MeIm), were used

A library of X‐ray absorption near‐edge structure (XANES) spectroscopic data for VV, VIV and VIII complexes with a broad range of biologically relevant ligand has been used to demonstrate that three‐dimensional plots of key XANES parameters (pre‐edge and edge energies; pre‐edge and white line intensities) can be used for the prediction of V oxidation states and coordination numbers in biological or

were synthesized and used to form complexes with vanadium in oxidation states III, IV, and V. Electrochemical and spectral characteristics of the complexes were evaluated and compared. In acidified solutions in acetonitrile the vanadium(IV) complexes undergo reversible disproportionation to form V(III) and V(V) complexes. With several of the ligands the V(III) complexes are much more stable in the presence
