    In lithographic inks containing colorant, binder resin and reactive diluent, the diluent comprises oxidatively curable ester prepared by reaction of drying oil fatty acid with hydroxyl-containing, addition polymerizable compounds, such as reaction product of polyol with addition polymerizable acid, hydroxyalkyl ester of such acid, hydroxyalkyl vinyl sulfide or hydroxyalkyl vinyl ether. The curable ester may also be prepared by reaction of addition polymerizable acid with hydroxyl-containing reaction product of polyol with drying oil fatty acid. Transesterifiable esters can be used instead of the acids. Preferred drying oil acids are derived from tung oil, linseed oil, safflower oil, soybean oil or dehydrated castor oil. The curable ester preferably comprises acryloxy alkyl or methacryloxy alkyl drying oil fatty acid ester.

    Disclosed is a crosslinked polyester resin comprised of, based on the total acid units, (a) 1 to 30 mole% of units of a trihydric or higher alcohol or units of a trivalent or higher carboxylic acid, (b) 1 to 60 mole% of units of an alicyclic diol in which at least one alcohol component is a secondary alcohol, (c) 40 to 100 mole% of units of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and (d) 40 to 99 mole% of units of a non-alicyclic diol, wherein the acid value is 0.5 to 25 mg-KOH/g, the glass transition temperature is 50 to 80°C, the softening temperature is not higher than 145°C, the fixing-possible temperature covers a range of at least 30°C, and the difference between the softening temperature and the glass transition temperature is not larger than 75 C. The crosslinked polyester is used for toner for electrostatic recording.

    A method for producing a polyurethane foam having a density of 0.1 g/cm3 or more, including the step of reacting a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component, the polyol component containing (polyol A): a polyester-polyol having a hydroxyl value of from 45 to 115 mgKOH/g, obtained by polycondensing a polyhydric alcohol component containing a polyhydric alcohol having a side chain and a polybasic acid component; and (polyol B): a polyether-polyol having 3 functional groups and a hydroxyl value of from 15 to 40 mgKOH/g, wherein the weight ratio of the polyol A to the polyol B, i.e. polyol A/polyol B, is from 1.2 to 3. The polyurethane foam obtained according to the method of the present invention can be suitably used, for example, in shoe soles, cushioning materials for automobiles and other transportation vehicles, furniture, beddings, and the like.
