Abstract Two new Zn centered coordination polymers (CPs), namely, [Zn(BDA)] (1) and [Zn3(BTA)2(H2O)4] (2) have been synthesized from 4′-hydroxy-[1,1′-biphenyl]-3,5-dicarboxylic acid (H2BDA) and 4-hydroxy-[1,1′-biphenyl]-3,3′,5,5′-tetracarboxylic acid (H3BTA) under solvothermal conditions. Their structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction and further characterized by elemental analysis
