  Salts of O-mono(di)-acetyl glycero-mono-(bis)-(di) phosphates of L-acetyl-carnitine and of L-acetyl carnitine ester are described. These acetyl derivatives are useful agent in the treatment of slow cerebral metabolism, senile and pre-senile psychomotor involution, depressive states, senile and pre-senile dementia and reduced cerebral blood flow caused by primitive cerebral ictus or cardiac affections.
