  The present invention relates, by way of new industrial products, to 1-(acetylaminophenyl)-2-amino-propanone derivatives selected from the group consisting of (a) the compounds of the formula Ar--CO--CH(CH.sub.3)--NR.sub.1 R.sub.2 (I) in which NR.sub.1 R.sub.2 represents a piperidino group; and Ar represents an acetylaminophenyl group of the formula ##STR1## in which X is CH.sub.3 CONH and Y and Z, which can be identical or different, each represent a hydrogen or halogen atom; and (b) their addition salts. These new products are useful as antidepressants for the central nervous system. The invention also relates to the method for their preparation.
