The syntheses of new bisphosphines containing nitrogen and oxygen donor atoms, N,N-bis(diphenylphosphinobenzyl)-N-phenylamine (PNP) (1), bis(2-diphenylphosphinobenzyl) ether (POP) (2) and their coordination chemistry with copper(I) halides have been explored.
