Lithium, sodium and potassium N-(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)trifluoromethanesulfinimidates were obtained by the reaction of the corresponding sulfinimidoyl chloride with alkali metal trimethylsilanolates. The potassium and sodium salts were converted to the freeacid, having predominantly the amidic tautomeric structure, CF3S(O)NHSO2CF3, by treatment with concentrated H2SO4 or with H+-cationite.
