The palladium-catalyzed annulation of 1,3-dienes by o-iodoacetoxyflavonoids provides an efficient approach to biologically interesting dihydrofuroflavonoids. This reaction is very general, regioselective, and a widevariety of terminal, cyclic, and internal 1,3-dienes can be utilized.
