Abstract Two novel cobalt coordination polymers [L1Co(ipa)]·0.25(DMF)}n (1) and [L2Co(cis-1,3-chdc)]·3(H2O)}n (2) (L1 = bis(4-(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-1-yl)phenyl)methanone, L2 = bis(4-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)phenyl)methanone, H2ipa = isophthalic acid, H2(cis-1,3-chdc) = cis-1,3-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid) are prepared under solvothermal conditions.
