Diastereoselective peroxidation of derivatives of Baylis–Hillman adducts

Cyclic derivatives of Baylis–Hillmanadducts were synthesized. Cobalt-catalyzed peroxidation of these cyclic lactones afforded silyl peroxides in diastereomeric ratios ranging from 91:9 to 97:3.
