Photoactivatable Glycopolymers for the Proteome-Wide Identification of Fucose-α(1-2)-Galactose Binding Proteins
摘要:
Although fucose-alpha(1-2)-galactose (Fuc alpha(1-2)Gal)-containing glycans have been implicated in cognitive processes such as learning and memory, their precise molecular mechanisms are poorly understood. Here we employed the use of multivalent glycopolymers to enable the first proteome-wide identification of weak affinity, low abundance Fuc alpha(1-2)Gal glycan-binding proteins (GBPs). Biotin-terminated glycopolymers containing photoactivatable cross-linking groups were designed to capture and enrich GBPs from rat brain lysates. Candidate proteins were tested for their ability to bind Fuc alpha(1-2)Gal, and the functional significance of the interaction was investigated for the synaptic vesicle protein SV2a using a knockout mouse system. The results suggest a role for SV2a-Fuc alpha(1-2)Gal interactions in SV2a trafficking and synaptic vesicle recycling. More broadly, our studies outline a general chemical approach for the systems-level discovery of novel GBPs.

An intracellular delivery vehicle of which surface is covered by a positive charge, an intracellular delivery complex in which a component or compound desired is loaded in the intracellular delivery vehicle, a temperature-sensitive probe comprising the intracellular delivery complex, and a method for measuring the intracellular temperature by the temperature-sensitive probe are disclosed. The intracellular delivery vehicle is useful on account of its capability of easily delivering the component or compound desired inside the cell without inhibiting cell proliferation.

This invention provides a deodorant capable of releasing deodorant agents at certain temperatures and having improved adherence to textiles. The deodorant of this invention includes polymer particles formed by reacting a main monomer of (N-substituted alkyl)acrylamide, a functional monomer for bonding the polymer particles to a fibrous substrate, and a cross-linking agent. A deodorant agent is loaded to the polymer particles.

The invention describes the use of a water-based UV curable inkjet printing ink wherein the ink is basic due to the presence of a tertiary amine, allowing the complete dissolution of an acid functional photoinitiator of Formula I or Formula IA (wherein R1, R2, R3, n, q, and y are as defined herein). This combination of photoinitiator and tertiary amine allows the rapid low dosage UV curing of a water-based UV formulation using a UV LED light source.

QHB-Modified free radical polymerizable compounds and free radical polymerizable compositions that comprise these compounds are disclosed. A QBH-modified free radical polymerizable compound has at least one moiety that comprises at least one free radical polymerizable group; a supporting backbone, and at least one and preferably at least two moieties capable of forming four or more, typically four, hydrogen bonds with similar or complementary units on other molecules or portions of molecules. Free radical polymerizable compositions that contain these compounds may be used in any of the well-knows applications for free radical polymerizable compositions. They are especially useful for the formation of imageable elements useful as lithographic printing plate precursors.
