  The stereochemistry of the title compound, C12H12N2-OS, is established as cis. There are two very similar independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The five-membered rings have envelope conformations and the six-membered hetero-rings are in skew-boat conformations. The molecules are linked by N-H ... O hydrogen bonds with N ... O distances in the range 2.996 (2)- 3.114 (2) Angstrom.
