A five-coordinate cadmium(II) complex with 1,3-bis(1-benzylbenzimidazol-2-yl)2-thiapropane (L), [Cd(L)Br2] · DMF, has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, electrical conductivities, IR, and UV-Vis spectral measurements.
