  An external preparation containing cyclosporin as the active ingredient, characterized by comprising (a) cyclosporin, (b) an organic solvent for dissolving the same, (c) a fatty acid ester of a monohydric alcohol, which is liquid at 25 °C and bears at least 8 carbon atoms in total, and/or an alkanolamine which is liquid at 25 °C, (d) an oleaginous substance which is solid at 25 °C, and (e) a surfactant, wherein the cyclosporin content ranges from 0.1 to 10 wt.% and the content of the ester and/or alkanolamine ranges from 1 to 15 wt.%.
