Background: A series of novel substituted 3-(thiophen-2-yl)pyrazoles was synthesized efficiently and in high yields using simple and convenient procedures starting from 1-phenyl-3- (thiophen-2-yl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde.
