  (EN) The invention provides as new compounds cis-cis-cis-tetrasubstituted cyclopentane compounds which are expected to be useful as chelating agents for alkaline earths, transition, lanthanide and actinide metal ions. The compounds have formula (I). Each of the groups X1, X2, X3 and X4 comprises at least one potential ligand donor group, or one of the groups X or Z may comprise a group which may permit attachment to a biologically active molecule or insoluble support.(FR) L'invention se rapporte à de nouveaux composés de cyclopentane cis-cis-cis-tétrasubstitués pouvant être utilisés comme agents de chélation pour des bases alcalino-terreuses et des ions métalliques de transition, de lanthanide et d'actinide. Les composés répondent à la formule (I). Chacun des groupes X1, X2, X3 et X4 comprend au moins un groupe donneur de ligand potentiel, ou l'un des groupes X ou Z peut comprendre un groupe permettant la fixation d'un support insoluble ou d'une molécule à activité biologique.
