Reaction of a series of bicyclic bromoarenes with N-tert-butoxycarbonylpiperazine (N-Boc-piperazine) under palladium-calalysed coupling conditions followed by routine removal of the Boc group with trifluoroacetic acid in dichloromethane gave the corresponding arylpiperazines in moderate to good yield.
