Ru and Rh nanoparticles (NPs) RuI, RuII, RhI and RhII, stabilised by triphenylphosphine (PPh3) and diphenylphosphinobutane (dppb) were synthesised, characterised and applied as catalysts in the hydrogenation of several aromatic ketones.
