    Lubricating agents (spin finish) for processing synthetic yarns contain 0.05 to 10 wt % of a polyalkylene oxide modified polysiloxane of formula 1 (where n is an integer from 20 to 100; m is an integer from 1 to 9; R, is an alkylene group with 3 to 4 carbon atoms; R2 is hydrogen, an alkyl group with 1 to 8 carbon atoms or an acyl group with 2 to 8 carbon atoms; a and B are integers satisfying 15 ≤ + b ≤ 80 and 2/8 ≤ b/a ≤ 8/2, and the polymer repetition is either block or random repetition); and 0.5 to 8 wt % of surface active agent in addition to the base of a polyether compound derived from alkylene oxide with 2 to 4 carbon atoms. Such lubricating agents exhibit superior characteristics in the production of textured yarns regarding lubricity, cohesion of yarn, antistatic capability and heater-deposit resistance.

    The release of a moulded concrete body from the mould can be improved by applying to the mould an effective amount of a concrete release composition comprising one or more oily esters of aliphatic carboxylic acids with mono- or dihydric alcohols, with a melting point of at the most 35°C, the total number of carbon atoms in the esters being 8-46, in an amount of 26-100% by weight, calculated on the total composition, optionally in admixture with other additives such as mineral oils, vegetable oils, glycols, glycol ethers, alkanols, emulsifiers and/or water.

    An exemplary method for set retarding the surface of a mortar or concrete material, comprising applying to the surface of a mortar or concrete, or to the inner surface of a mold for forming the mortar or concrete, a non-petroleum based hot melt coating composition which is heated to assume a flowable or sprayable form, and allowing the hot melt coating composition to cool to ambient temperature whereby the composition forms a solidified membrane, and thereafter removing the membrane using pressurized water. Preferably, the hot melt coating composition contains at least one agent operative to retard the setting of the mortar or concrete, and optional finely divided particulate materials, light-reflective pigments, or mixtures thereof.

    The present invention provides finishes for elastic fiber, which attain elastic fiber yarn having superior antistaticity, unwinding and package buildup performance and lubricity, and minimize fly sticking on elastic fiber yarn in knitting operation of elastic fiber yarn and cotton spun yarn to enable high-speed knitting operation of fine elastic fiber yarn and cotton spun yarn; and also provides elastic fiber applied therewith. The finishes of the present invention contain 60 to 99.99 parts by weight of at least one of base components selected from the group consisting of silicone oils, mineral oils and ester oils, 0.01 to 20 parts by weight of amino-modified silicones and 0.0001 to 20 parts by weight of phosphate esters containing at least one hydrocarbon group or oxyalkylene group per a molecule. The elastic fiber of the present invention is characterized by the application of the said finish with 0.1 to 15 weight percent of fiber.
